2014 Undergraduate Student Award Winner: Rachel Richmond


Rachel Richmond, an Environmental Studies major, currently works for the Kansas Biological Survey and is the Events Coordinator for KU Student Farm. She has conducted research on sustainable agriculture and the availability of local food.

Quote from Nomination: "Rachel is a conscious individual, riding her bike or taking the KU bus to class and her job at KBS on West Campus.  She has dedicated numerous volunteer hours to the Kaw Valley Seed Fair and will participate in events this summer at the KU Field Station in collaboration with KBS Communications Coordinator Kirsten Bosnak. Rachel has a true passion for learning about sustainability and practicing it in her every day life. She leads by example and we happily nominate her for this award."
