2014 Greek Award Winner: Sigma Kappa

Sigma Kappa has shown a commitment to sustainability action by implementing a new recycling program and energy conservation efforts.  During the 2014 Move-Out, the women of Sigma Kappa donated more clothing and furniture than any other Greek House. Other activities include “Lights out On the Hill” and the philanthropy, “Inherit the Earth.”

Quote from Nomination: "From the beginning of membership, members are educated on sustainability issues related to our house, campus and community. Chapter members talk about sustainability issues even during recruitment so potential new members know that these issues are one of the sororityʹs core vales."

Nominator: Caren Brandenburg, Chapter Advisor
