Commuting by bicycle is a great way to get around campus and the Lawrence community. By riding your bike you will live a healthier lifestyle, reduce your environmental impact, and save on transportation costs. But more than that, you'll have a lot of fun doing it!

Bamboo Bikes!
KU Design Professor and Students built bamboo bikes last summer in collaboration with the Semester Bicycle Project.

Bike Stand 
The Student Recreation Fitness Center has an all inclusive bike reapair stand for student, faculty, and staff use! It is located by the outdoor basketball courts on the south side of the building.

Bikes on Buses 
Lawrence Transit has bike racks on the front of busses for routes 1-11!

Bike Rental Program

The Outdoor Pursuits program at the Student Recreation Fitness Center offers a Bike Rental program. There are 12  bikes ready to rent: 8 mountain bikes and 4 comfort bikes. There are daily, weekend, and weekly rates available.
