Annual Tulip Sale

Volunteers are needed to help bundle bulbs that have been pulled from beds across campus as KU's beloved tulips lose their blooms.

These bulbs will be sold to the Lawrence community so that a piece of KU tradition can live on in our neighbors' yards! This year's sale is a fundraiser for the Prairie Acre Restoration Project.

We are hoping to gather list of volunteers interested in helping so we can reach out with volunteer time slots when the times comes. The tulips will tell us when it's time to get to work. Once the blooms fall, KU Landscaping will alert us of their schedule to pull them out and we'll know it's time to get busy! This is usually during the last two weeks of April.

Not sure if you'll be available that week? No problem, but we'd love to know that you're interested so we can reach out directly when the time comes.

Coronavirus Update

As part of our efforts to reduce an on-campus presence and promote social distancing, KU Surplus is ceasing all operations and KU Recycling is limiting any special collections that are not mission critical. For more information, email us at sustainability@ku.edu
