Making Sustainability Accessible:

A Curriculum Development Workshop

Our 2019-2020 workshop will be rescheduled for later during the academic year. Please check back soon for more details, or email sustainability@jccc.edu for updates.

This year's joint workshop will be held at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS

Join the University of Kansas and Johnson County Community College in our 3rd year as an AASHE Center for Sustainability Across the Curriculum. Designed to help faculty from all disciplines make connections to sustainability within their curriculum, this two-day workshop will guide participants through group work, discussion, and learning lab exercises.

Together we will explore using themes of sense of place, community wellness, and cooperative problem solving to make sustainability concepts relatable to students entering any field. Participants will find helpful resources to inform design of one or more assignments, course modules or other classroom activities. It will be a fun and inspiring opportunity to workshop with colleagues from your own institutions, as well as share with and learn from those at peer institutions in the region.

2019 workshop details coming soon!

Please contact the workshop organizers with any questions you may have.
